Got one from the morning save outlet for $9 and it's good for what it is. Really bright, white or yellow light, dimmable, touch controls, and a USB A slot that I use to charge my airpods if I'm too lazy to walk over to my nightstand. 2 of these for $15 just to have as a desk lamp is a great deal in my opinion.

Previous deals have been posted from this site here. I bought twice including just last week. No issues. Reliable vendor IMO

I shopped lights like this recently when mine finally died after 8 years of being on almost 24/7. Mine was 22" high and most available these days are only about 12" to 15" and don't swivel (my old one did). I ended up getting this one to replace it and it's very nice, albeit it costs more than this one. It's 19" high. My only objection is that I'd like the lowest level to be dimmer and not as bright. Here's the link. Notice the head swivels side to side in addition to up and down.

This one also looks worth considering, since it is 22" high. I really think height makes a big difference

OK, I must be missing it but what powers this light? The website shows 12V and 12 watts so does it have a wall wart for it's power or what? All of the pictures just show the cable to charge your phone or whatever and no cord that is powering the lamp and charger.

Or maybe the phone is acting as the battery powering this lamp.

It has a USB port for input power. You can power it from an old cell phone charger or a battery bank if using it in the field. Not sure if it comes with a power adapter, but most of us have a junk drawer full of them Big Grin

Update: I was wrong.... looks like this one comes with a 12V / 1A power supply and the lamp has a barrel connector. I have a similar lamp (different brand) that is powered via USB, but this one appears to be powered via 12V. Still handy for off-grid / field use if you have a 12V battery.

I have never heard of that site.
It's related to meh.com which Matt Rutledge, founder of Woot, created. It's legit.

Thanks for the info. That actually makes it more useful for me as I can throw one in each of my shipping containers and as long as I carry out a battery/recharger which I have several of I can quickly light up where I am working or looking at things.

Do you have a link for the one you have. I may search Amazon tonight. It is easier to take a small pocket sized battery for power than my Jackery or an EcoFlow.

Sidedeal is part of meh.com. Shipping is slow but otherwise a great vendor, been ordering from them for years and never had a problem. Solid customer service in my experience but haven't needed it often. Free shipping coupon aside, the site has a $5 payment/sub that gets free shipping for a month so it ends up fairly cheap if you order from them more than once a month.

This is the one I have:

https://www.amazon.com/Control-Br...B08923SXXP

Plugs in via USB A. I power it from a phone battery bank and it lasts a good while.

600 lumen is pretty dim so if you need bright light like I do, pass
600 lumene is a bit dimmer than a 60 watt incandescent bulb (750 lumens). But I'd say that it's at least as bright as the bulb for reading because LEDs output directed light whereas lightbulbs give diffuse 360° light. So it's fine for a desk lamp, where the target object is just 1½ feet away from the LEDs. I've been using a 600 lumen LED desk lamp for years and never experienced any eyestrain. Of course, unlike a lightbulb, the surrounding room barely gets any light.

Good news - It shipped by FedEx from TX. Bad news - the box (1) weighs 1 lb/0.45kg. 6"x4"x1". How can that be for two lamps? FedEx tracking info should be accurate. I think we got ripped off...
Update: Arrived in a much bigger box and more like 3 pounds. FedEx tracking info was incorrect. Slick deal!
