This is a concentrated chili STARTER meaning you mix it with meat, tomatoes, etc. you are effectively doubling or even tripling the volume of the can when the full meal is finished. This cuts the sodium per bite/serving way down compared to just eating the can (which I am unsure why someone is doing this to begin with)

Thanks for letting us know. We were all on the edges of our seats waiting to find out if you were going to buy these or not. Now, we can all finally rest easy.

They are about the same price as a can of beans. The ingredients are pretty good and it's quick. The seasoning is soaked into the beans like it's been stewing all day.

Pairs nicely with a glade plug-in.

Unless you are eating this in one sitting and only making a little for yourself, that serving size of sodium will be cut by more than 50% on the minimum when you add all the other ingredients. So yes while it looks like a lot of sodium it really is not when mixed into the rest of the pot. If I didn't have like 20 cans of chili already I would be in.

Out of curiosity, why this over just some normal beans and some spices? You already need to add onion, meat, tomatoes and peppers to your chili.
At my local store it's the same price to buy these than beans + spice envelopes. The spice envelopes don't always scan right at the u-scan register because of their weight. Of course you can buy your own spices in jars, but I often end up with spices I don't use fast enough so they get old and lose flavor.

These are not super compelling reasons, but people love convenience.

This one in the blue can is mild and it's good. They make a medium (campfire style?) and I like that one even more.

Shoot. I read that wrong. That's crazy.
What's crazy is people thinking they eat the contents as is. Uhhhhh, nope. Add meat, and second....and more beans and tomatoes, etc.
