LG laundry are pretty good. We had washer go out on us after 20 years, and dryer still going, got another LG washer from Costco. Was super easy, except initial Wi-Fi setup. Runs like a top and tells us upstairs when done. Maybe their other appliances are crap.

I feel like most people know by now to not buy any LG or Samsung large appliances, since they tend to break down within 4 years or less. That's why they're being discounted. These companies need to learn a lesson that it's not ok to sell disposable appliances, no matter how low they mark them down. Don't fall for it. Don't buy it.

might want this as a spare... everything, even those with the highest ratings are garbage. Been through 3 dishwashers in 15 years... repairing along the way. Everything is made to break now. Stock up and keep a spare dishwasher and fridge in the garage.

My LG washer/dryer (branded Kenmore) have been amazing.

But I am in the market for a new dishwasher, same size, don't need/want internet or any other ridiculous features, just something that will last. If anyone has a recommendation tyvm.

Not sure about longevity because it's only been 3 years, but the LG top of the line dishwasher I have is one of the best I've owned in terms of clean quality, dry abilities, sound, and rack smoothness. Granted if it breaks in 5 years I'll be pissed but in terms of initial satisfaction I'm a 10/10.

We've even had troubles with two of the much beloved Bosch 800s. I'm gonna have to open the wallet and go Miele next.

I recently got a bosch 300 series. Installed it myself. Works great so far. Had a previous bosch last 20 years. I did a bunch of research and ultimately hard to really tell, so went with the highest rated, which ended up being a bosch again.

Came here hoping to see some good reviews but wow. Have a GE dishwasher that is rusting all over the place - the racks, the hinges. Just pathetic stuff.

How are Bosch dishwashers?

My Bosch 800 is absolute dog shit. Dishes continue to come out dirty.

I speak from experience had a LG fridge, 2 years, it would not even cool off, then got a Samsung, "Twin Cooling" the design they kept for years, keeps freezing up till the fan stops running then the fridge heats up (50+ degrees).

This freezing up is a day project with a heat gun to melt all the ice, and a 3rd party has a kit to "kind of fix it" and it still does not completely fix it..

Total junk, I'll move to a GE or a classic brand when they break for good.

Man, don't buy this, you have been warned.

Wirecutter says Bosch recently redesigned and are much worse than equivalent models a few years back.
Agree, LG dishwashers have very high early failure rates. I personally would not risk it.

I hear Miele isn't as good as it used to be, too. The number one reason I wouldn't get Miele is because after a short amount of years, the racks develop rust. It's been a long term issue with Miele dishwashers, and it doesn't appear to have changed. It is also very expensive to replace the racks.

The second reason I wouldn't get Miele is because of how software reliant it is, and the software has too many bugs in it.

I'm waiting for the Maytag Mdb8959skz to hopefully go back on sale. It would be a lot cheaper, so at least if it has some issues, you wouldn't be giving up 2000 for a dishwasher.
