Costco sells 2 dozen for $7.99 in my store. Higher than it should be but not terrible.

I will say that these little cookers do a surprisingly good job.

Why not just use a pressure cooker? Works great

Does this have auto shut off? I couldn't see it and the reviews don't mention it.

most of these work by having a reservoir of water (which prevents heating surface from going above 100c/212f while water to boil, and when all water is gone, temp goes above and they shut off)

Our office has an older model that doesn't auto shut off. It does keep ringing until someone unplugs it from the wall.

I have the Dash version. Does a great job, which surprised me.. All the eggs are easy to peel. Before I would leave eggs on the counter to "age" them quicker so it would be easier to peel. Once you figure how much water to use for your level of cooking, it's a breeze.
