I contacted Bestbuy multiple times. I got shut down each and every time.
It just so happened that I had a question that I forgot to ask them so I contacted chat one last time before I waste anymore time on this.
I thought I was going to get shut down again but even tho the rep said on her end it showing out of stock on both the Costco and in my warehouse the rep said they will honor the price.
But in order to get it to $999.97 I had to go thru two different reps
First rep could only price match for $1100
Second rep would refund me the difference.
If you have a lot of patients and time go for it.
It was pretty draining but happy that it worked out.

Starting with the second rosetta2 OS, 8gb you will notice if you're trying to do anything and have a few JS heavy tabs open.
Sequoia is designed to leverage the newer silicon chipsets - a mac with 16gb will be usable in 5 years and still not cumbersome after 7. Why they're sticking to the 8gb entry level even now is weird; it is really short-sighted. It means most open stock doesn't come with what it needs to maintain its value (meaning your time is valuable).
Deals will come for the 16gb/18GB (the high end one here is). That's really the only criticism I have of Apple's entry level machines.
Not the full match to $999 but still an amazing deal, even better than the $1250 from a month ago.
I had ordered a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition yesterday for $773 open box excellent, and saw that it dropped to $695 today. Was planning on re-ordering the cheaper one and returning the first order. But saw this deal and figured I'd ask if they would match and they did! Very happy as I think the Macbook Pro is the best overall laptop on the market.
I did want the Nano-texture on the M4 model but only Apple is selling it, so you can't get discounts from retailers like this! M3 Pro will do just fine for me.
That Lenovo open box is still a killer deal too though! If you can't get this deal and want a laptop with a nice screen and long battery life, I'd check it out.
EDIT: The laptop is out of stock in my area on costco btw. They didn't ask or check. The agent said many people are asking about this price match so didn't question it lol.

Grabbed the M3 Pro 18 gb ram, 14 core GPU, 11 core CPU price matched from BB agent, after 2nd try. $1085, Tax $71.88, Total $1,156.88, (OG price is ~$1699) Really tried selling me BB Total Membership ($179 comes with 2 yr apple care), but kindly declined. Was signed into my account and a pre-existing BB Plus member.
fyi, Costco purchase comes with 2 yr warranty included, BB doesn't.
