Back when the deal first posted, I saw that Richmond CA still had the computer in stock. I chatted with best buy to see if they would match before I ran to Richmond for the m3 pro 18GB. Best buy said yes only stock was limited to Dublin CA or to another store out of state where I was flying to in the morning.
I chose to go to Dublin. When I got there, I opened the box to start data transfer and checked the computer... It was dirty and used! the rep did not add my trade to the order like I asked as well. The staff was cool and ultimately said for my troubles since BB dropped the ball, they will upgrade me to the m4 14GB 1tb for $1299 that was in stock ... I said I would rather have the m4 pro 24GB 512GB for 1299 They said sure... But they didn't have it in stock. So we placed the order and I picked it up in pleasant Hill.
I traded my M3 8GB air in. I am happy I saw the deal when I did. I was going to buy a mini, but this was a great deal despite the circumstances.
First thing that I have been impressed with is usual thunderbolt to transfer Data from one Mac to another with disk sharing. 130GB transferred in less than 3 minutes. Another thing is finally got some really good customer service at best buy. the guys at the Dublin store were great. I didn't have to fight... Honestly, they could have offered me more discount or a screen protector and I would have kept the m3 pro. Pleasant Hill was cool with me. Dublin called over and let them know the situation and it was in and out after I transferred the data... Once from the air to the m3 4 at dub, second from the m3 to the m4 at PH. I left my home at 2:30 pm and finally got home around 7... Traffic was a nightmare but overall I am good.

Tip - the app showed the warehouse had one in stock but the kiosk in the store said they didn't. Talked to an employee who was able to find one in the back.
TLDR; don't trust the in store kiosk
They denied me for out of stock anyway.
