Customer Care agent: XXXX, today is your lucky day, I hope it puts a smile on your face! This product can be price matched with Costco website for $999.97. I can place this order at the lower price for you and send a secure payment link to complete the payment, and we accept major credit and debit cards in case you want to use Apple Pay or PayPal I would kindly ask you to place an order and provide me the order details so I can refund the difference back into your payment method. May I ask which option would you prefer?

cant even queue up in line at best buy chat anymore cuz agents are busy
I think potentially the key to knowing if you're wasting your time (similar to another post earlier) is if they ask for your email off the bat then you're likely good to go with an agent looking to make a sale.
that is exactly what happened to me. The first rep, NOGO. The second rep wanted email address name, phone. I felt the same as you. Offered the 1089 price.
