my store was oos, but best buy price matched over chat

This looks like a great. Back in April from one of the deals posted here, I got my M3 Pro 18 GB, 18 core, 1 TB MacBook pro from Best Buy via price matching with Microcenter. For $1000 this machine is a beast. Does all stuff without sweating a bit or turning the internal fan to audible limits, like for e.g. my AI computing, photo editing, normal office 365 stuff, attending my web classes and watching Netflix, Prime and Hulu (lol).

I shipped the macbook because I had none available locally. Agent price matched to $999.97.

Got the email from best buy saying price match is rejected. I can't cancel it anymore so I guess i'll try to get customer service to price match in store based on transcript. If not, I'll return it.

Was able to get the $1083 price after 5 tries. No zip code was asked. Store pickup for next week so not sure what will happen between then and now. Probably won't try to match down to $999, already a good enough deal at $1083 and I need a laptop anyways. Invoice charge method and not full price + refund.

I think potentially the key to knowing if you're wasting your time (similar to another post earlier) is if they ask for your email off the bat then you're likely good to go with an agent looking to make a sale.

Same thing happened with me when two agent try to create invoice for $999.97 and they couldn't do it (due system error). But willing to refund once I place order for full price.

Now BB backend system is too sensitive and rejected my two orders when agents were ready to price match after placing it for full price.

Same. After successfully placing an order earlier, I got an email rescinding the refund. Unfortunately that's fraud on their behalf. Going to dispute it with customer support, and my CC if necessary.
