Thanks to Deal Editor powerfuldoppler for finding this deal.

Example Retailers:Product Details:
  • On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when—or if—it will go away.
  • Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens—town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician's assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing—even murder—to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn't just short. It's running out.

Great book. It is very long but I never really felt bored while reading.

It was a CBS Show. I never got around to finishing it. Streaming on Paramount+ it seems. https://www.paramountplus.com/sho...-the-dome/

The show stinks, but I thought the book was pretty great. Worth a read for sure.

edit: Bought it. I thought I already had the Kindle version but I guess not. I guess SK can have 3 more of my dollars. I've been wanting to re-read it anyway, it's been like 10 years. nod

Season 1 was amazing. Season 2-3 were awful.

One of the biggest King disappointments for me. 1000 pages of mystery only to end in a twilight zone ending. This is a story that could have been told in a 30 minute episode.

Yes. It was a typical bad King based series.

Not worth it. Spend a few extra $$ and get Billy Summers or 11/22/63.

Saw the first season of the crappy tv adaptation years ago, loved the concept but the execution killed it. Happy to know that A) there's a book that's apparently much better and B) I have enough digital amazon credits to get it for free 👊
