I have this lock, it's a decent lock for the price. i have to change the batteries out every 6 months or so which is not big deal. It sends a notification when the batteries are low so you have ample time to change them out before it completely dies. It works off wifi and I can unlock and lock my door from anywhere. If the wifi is out or the power is, the lock will still work cause it's battery powered but you can't lock and unlock it remotely without access to WiFi.

My favorite feature that this lock has, it will send a notification to your phone whenever the door is locked and unlocked. It also lets you set up special passwords per person which I think is a neat feature too.

Overall, it's not the best lock on the market of course, but it gets the job done for a good price.

I have a variation of this lock from Eufy. My batteries lasted 2 years before needing to be replaced. I used to have it set to autolock when I left the house but I got tired of locking myself out everytime I went to get the mail. Now if I ever wonder if my door is locked I can just look no matter where I am in the world.

I've had packages delivered while out of town before and have asked friends to stop by the house and toss it in my door. I can unlock it for them while they're there and lock it when they leave. Or I can just give them a time restricted pass code.

These are really great devices, and Anker has been pretty reliable as a brand so far. Haven't been disappointed with anything I have by them.

ed. Also my came with like six physical keys, so even if the batteries are dead you can get in, and you have enough spares to hand out to your parents, your brother, your dog walker, and your dentist.

What is the difference between this and the C30 which is $10 less on amazon? Looks like they have pretty much the same features
C34 has more support such as Apple and Matter

I have an older version of this lock installed on three doors and I love it. Installed for over 2 years no issues.

I also have two eufy cameras and they work great. No monthly fees and they do what I need them to.

Can anyone comment on how the battery life is with wifi turned off? I just want to use it like a regular lock without being online.

How does this compare to the Waze Smart Lock [amazon.com]?

Not sure where these comments are coming from. This is the worst smart lock I own. Locking and unlocking 4x a day gets me 3-4 months of battery life. It's so frustrating. The fingerprint reader is ok but not great. The touchpad is terrible though. Really hard to use since it's touch and not press, and it gets a lot of false positives and false negatives. Most of the amazon reviewers seem to agree with me. The wyze one is so much better.

This one does not have a fingerprint, so likely a different model than yours.

be aware this lock is rated lowest ansi grade 3. any lock on amazon that doesn't specify a grade is a good sign that it will have the lowest rating.

wifi locks will eat thru batteries quicker than non-wifi models. my house came with a schlage encode wifi lock and i've never used the app once on the last 3 years and it eats 4 aa cells every few months. there is no way to disable the wifi function.

i would recommend taking a look at the non-wifi locks such as this philips fingerprint lock. i have it installed at another property and for $75 it is ansi grade 2 certified and very sturdy.

The Eufy lock is WiFi. The wyze version is bluetooth only so you cant remotely unlock and get all the remote alerts etc. You can check lock status if you're in bluetooth range, set codes for different people etc. while I could never get the fingerprint sensor to work, its been working well otherwise. Batteries lasted almost a year I think. I like the physical press keys of the wyze but just my opinion.

I wouldn't trust Eufy to the locks to my home.

https://www.cnet.com/home/securit...een-fixed/

"An apparent software glitch that exposed private information and video streams belonging to hundreds of Eufy security camera customers has been resolved, according to the company.

The security breach was first made public on Monday when affected customers began reporting an unusual phenomenon on Reddit: The Eufy app apparently granted them access to other users' account information, including both live and recorded video streams. Not only that, some users reported the app let them control other users' physical cameras with actions like pan and zoom.

Eufy said Wednesday that a total of 712 users' accounts were exposed to other Eufy app users before the problem could be addressed."
Such a dumb take, here.

1. This is old
2. You hiring the plumber that's never made any mistakes, or one that has learned from them and gotten better?
3. Everything will be breached eventually, how the company responds to that is key- and I don't see anything problematic with their approach

I have the fingerprint matter-less version of this for this price (sale) and like it a lot - fast, functional, decent app, good battery life, etc.

Yeah it's not the breach that got me but the 'couldn't care less' attitude from Eufy after the fact that stopped me from using them. They don't seem like a company that gives a rats ass about security or their customers concerns.
98% of companies don't care. They take on insurance policies for covering themselves in the event instead of making sure things are secure.

When something happens they issue a statement from their ceo, ect.. will let someone go of say it was xyz fault then carry on.
