the de-scale notificationgoes off maybe every two months for me. I use a generic espresso machine cleaning powder for the descaling. Takes maybe 30 minutes each time the main thing that shorten a life on these is any oil that sits in the machine for too long from the beans as long as you keep up with this maintenance when the light goes on, it's great. The generic cleaner I bought on Amazon for around $15. GE has a video posted online of the descaling process which shows you exactly what to do step-by-step. During the three years, it's probably 3/4 full still.

I've had this espresso maker for three years and it's amazing. As long as you keep up with the descaling maintenance on it, it will last you quite a while. It's a slick deal at this price.

Looks good but some reviews mention spotty WiFi connectivity. Can anyone weigh in? Is it a major issue or would a return be enough?

Can you give us a quick run down on what that entails?

How much it costs? How often? How long it takes?

We got ours in Nov 2023 and its great! We do two espresso drinks almost daily and still running strong. Stay away from oily beans. There is no way to clean out the grinder so if it gums i am not sure what you could do to fix it.

With that being said i am really thinking about buying a second as a back up. Being able to hit go and you have espresso with zero work is amazing.

this machine and its GE Profile siblings make really good coffee that rivals Juras. What is slightly unusual is that they grind, tamp, infuse, pause for 2 secs, tamp a second time and then pump water through for the shot. Out of the box they are great, also using the app one can adjust drink temp, amount of ground coffee and water that goes through the shot or is added to the drink (americano). Just after NY there was a coupon that took these down to $175 form the same seller.
