I got this last time. It is a useful set and more than enough for the average homeowner that has a few home projects a year. So far I removed and put up a ceiling fan, swapped out a bulb to an led light fixture, put up 3 picture frames, replaced an electric outlet and trimmed & replaced a fence picket. If I had done them all in the same day I could have without recharging the battery.
2 things to note. 1) the flashlight is a little less bright than you'd expect and is generally not very useful, it is likely includes to be able to market this as a 3 piece set. Then 2) check your local Walmart on price. I had this delivered and it had a clearance price tag on it for $50 even. That next weekend I returned it in store and bought it back immediately after for $9 less.

Got on last deal. Drill is smaller than the ones I got last year. No complaints if you compare to a craftsman drill. Case is roomy too, but my other hart stuff in it.

yes, I bought one at store for $50. Seems no brainer.

I am sure I could dig, but who actually makes these. I assume they are just a private label of a major brand?

I bought this a few weeks back when it was on sale (same price I think). For the money I'm happy. It's a typical entry level brushed cordless drill. It works nicely and is a bit smaller than my other Hart drill bought as part of a deal perhaps 2 years back. The saw isn't powerful but it will cut 2x lumber (my primary objective). Basically these are clearly entry level but entry level is quite decent these days.

They are basically Ryobi, with a different battery style. I have both brands, and most Hart tools have a virtually identical Ryobi model if you look closely.

Decent price if you need a basic drill and saw. I picked this kit up last time it was on sale just for the saw, but ended up returning it unused when the Kobalt saw + 4AH battery went on sale for the same price. Regardless, the tools didn't feel cheap and I appreciated how compact the saw was with the side-mounted battery.

That what I was thinking. Don't think you can get much done at 2 ah. It probably can't even push out the current it needs to make the cut.

I bought 2 sets of this for the saws last time. Not long. Maybe 20 cuts on a good day. Realistically, normal 2* (or "two-by") lumber takes a long time to cut with the saws they come with. If you only need maybe 10 typical cuts per charge, these might be worth it. Motor is pretty puny.
I followed that purchase with a Kobalt 4.25"? battery powered saw for a similar price. Happy with it.

I have used my circular battery saw much more often then my reciprocating saw to my surprise. I made two moving dollies from some leftover shelfs 2x4s and casters this week and these type tools were handy. I like having the extra drill to pre-drill the screw holes and a second to drive the screws so I don't need to keep changing bits. I have 4 battery drills now so I can't find any excuse to jump on this SD. WM has improved their tools in the last coupe years.

I was looking to get a cordless drill and probably would have grabbed this one since I have tools in the Hart battery ecosystem. Before this deal came up I got a Skil drill and impact driver for $60 on clearance at Menards w/ one 20v 2ah battery. They had a few left at my store.

Amazon has the same set for $63: https://www.amazon.com/SKIL-20V-2...B07H5N29L6

Also on Amazon is a 5 tool 12v brushless set with 2 batteries for $130. https://www.amazon.com/Brushless-...B0BHQLVQXQ

It's 12v and 2 of the "tools" are a flashlight and a speaker. It is brushless though. A drill, impact driver, and oscillating tool w/ 2 batteries might meet someone's needs.
