Basically, this is a Costco-exclusive upgrade of the Q681, which is why it's hard to find reviews of this exact model. The main differences are the upgraded Onkyo 2.1 speakers, the FireTV OS and a 3 year warrantee. It's a huge upgrade from the q651, with the local dimming and brighter picture.

A lot of people here bought these a few months ago when they were clearancing them out of the stores for $400. Most people seemed very happy with them. I got one, and the picture is really great. Very bright and the colors really pop. I mean, it's not as great as some of the $1000-2000 models, but it's $500. (Though it was originally $1300.) I'm very happy with my purchase.

I don't think you'll find a better TV in this price range at this time, unless you find some truly spectacular clearance deal. Probably the next level up you'll find at 75" is the Hisense U7N for $900 (also at Costco.)

I don't imagine that these will last too long, since they're not selling these in the stores any more. This is probably a clearance price.

Note: for anyone trying to put this on a smaller table/stand, the legs can attach in either direction (which isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation!) When they're facing inwards, it can fit on some smaller stands.

To set your TCL TV to start up on the last input you used, navigate to Settings > System > Power (or Power and Energy on some models) and select "Last Used Input" as your power on behavior; this will automatically turn on your TV to the last input source you were using when you turned it off.
Key points to remember:
Access settings: Press the "Home" button on your remote, then navigate to "Settings".
Find Power settings: Within the settings menu, go to "System" and then select "Power" (or "Power and Energy").
Choose "Last Used Input": Under "Power On Behavior" or a similar option, select "Last Used Input".

This is going to be a better TV vs the 5 series. This set is QLED, has upgraded sound and local dimming. it's in the Q6 series, but this is at the upper end (where it includes the sound and dimming). If this had 120hz refresh rate, it would basically be the Q7.

i picked up 2 of these TVs from costco before christmas for $400 each. i think the specs are great for the price (even for $500) but i really don`t like the firmware of the tv. i am not sure if it is because it is a fire tv or just it`s own software but it is very laggy. when you press a button on the remote it doesn`t respond smoothly. it is missing a lot of basic features that tcl roku tvs have. i connect mini PC or laptop to use the TVs and you can`t even assign an hdmi input as computer. even the phone app is very limited. i have a TCL roku tv for years and i love how smooth it is. if there was a roku version of this tv with the same price, i wouldn`t hesitate to return but as i said, the price is too good for a QLED with the local dimming zone specs.

I have this tv, run through an older Onkyo AV receiver. I haven't even allowed it to link to wifi. Just hit the home button on upper left of controller and link to my hdmi 3 output, then good to go. Tv is solid.

This is a TWO PERSON JOB to lift and put together. I somehow pulled it off alone, but do not recommend.

I think it's a solid tv for the money. If someone can show me a better one for the same price then please do. Yes some people got this tv for 400 but that was around black Friday. There were a lot of things cheaper than then now.

why do you spend more when the same tv sold for less price couple of months back. All you need to do is wait since these qled panels come for cheaper. Slickdeals is right place to find.

So tell me do you think nobody should now buy any TVs that were on sale during the holidays?

Sure you can wait and hope for a better deal. You could even wait until next year and im sure you'll find a better deal.

Something to consider is that is in store only. This deal is online. Delivery isn't worth $100 but I would give it about a $50 value so the price difference isn't as crazy. Considering you don't have to drive down with a truck or SUV to pick it up and drive it back.

If you ask me wait till better deal comes up. If you feel you can't wait (FOMO) , then go for it.

Forget about lg brand.
The only BAD tv I've had over the last 30 years was a 65" LG tv that went dark after two years of light use. It costed me fifteen hundred dollars.
The rubber seal of my more than two-thousand dollars LG refrigerator started peeling off in the first year. The ice maker is even worst.

There's always a potential better deal as I bought this TV for $299 in Costco 2 months ago so not a great deal then for $399.

After using the TV for the past 2 months and recently installing my friend's (yes much better but 3+X more) 65" LG C4 OLED this 75" TV purchased for anything under $500 is a great deal.

Bought this and already regretting it. It is missing basic features like Alexa integration using Echo devices, which means Echo devices/Alexa app on phone cannot be used to turn on/off the device. Also, its missing the feature to turn off the device automatically when not in use.

If you care about these features then buy the Sam's Club version of this tv, it has Google/Android OS which has these features.

The screen and black level of this tv is good but the Fire OS is not.

Wasted 2 hours with TCL and Amazon Support looking for a solution but they eventually called it quits.

If you get the one from Sam's with Google tv let us know if it makes a difference and solves your problem with Fire tv
