Current price is $7.19 for a 12 pack and 40% off would bring it down to $4.31 but if you have to get 3 it's $12.94.

Kroger has a current sale for (1 to 5) coke, pepsi or 7up (also includes A&W, Canada Dry, Barq's, Cheerwine, Crush, Mountain Dew, Rite, Fanta, Dr.Pepper, Fresca, Brisk, Mellow Yello, Minute Maid, Seagram's, RC, Sprite, Squirt, Starry, Sunkist & Yoo-hoo) 12 packs for $4.99 for the next 5 days with a digital coupon

Kroger's MSRP is $10.99 for a 12 pack so if you only want 1, 2, 4 or 5 it's the better "deal" (best deal is cutting out soda entirely)

Edit: Checked and MSRP varies from $7.19 to $7.99. The Target deal only works on multiples of 3 even and with the 5% red/circle card the deal is still basic and not beating Kroger (if you need exactly 3,6,9,12 go with Target to save a few $)

$7.69 locally, so that makes it $4.61 per 12 pack if it persists at that price.

Without knowing what the following week's "MSRP" will be, the % off seems less of a value these days. The MSRP changes week to week (i.e. I see $9.99 for 12 packs "regular" price one week and $7.99 regular price in different weeks). Retail smoke and mirrors!

Exactly this. Their weekly MSRP will spike right when the promotion starts. Target rarely has good soda deals.

The walgreens deal is likely better

You can usually get good deals at Dollar General & Family Dollar on Saturday's with their $5 of $25. This week DG had coke 3 for $15 & pepsi 3 for $13 with $1 off 3 pepsi coupon.

I picked up 6 x 12 packs (3 pepsi & 3 coke) for $22 or $3.66 each today.

nope. I distincly remember only buying when it was a 4 for $10 deal and that wasnt long before covid. I rarely buy it anymore. I can afford it but its just a terrible deal and i cant justify it in my head

Shooooot, I still remember when a 24pk was $5 at the store. Then it went up to $7 and everyone lost their crap. Now they're $10-15. EEK!Mad

This just might bring down the cost of soda, if enacted. They'll be fighting for sales since a big portion of their customers won't be able to buy it (unless they pay cash for it).

Ruh Roh, Pepsi... Republican Congressman Introduces FIZZ-NO Act To Nuke Soda From SNAP

Ahead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s confirmation hearing for the role of Secretary of Health and Human Services, set to begin on Wednesday, the "Make America Healthy Again" movement gained momentum with a new bill called the "Zero for Zero Nutrition Options" (FIZZ-NO) Act, that was introduced by Rep. Keith Self (R-TX).

On Tuesday, Congressman Self's office published [house.gov] a press release detailing how the FIZZ-NO Act is a major effort to improve public health and reduce taxpayer costs by eliminating soda from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The thing that makes this half way decent imo is the wider selection of flavors than a Dollar General/Walgreens deal.
