Thats not the issue since this is meant for a trimming saw. The issue is the 2ah batts are notorious for overheating and going into protection in the saws. The 4ah packs do not have this problem.

Used mine to cut about 2 dozen 4"-6" branches. Battery showed 75% charge still there.
It can be a bit jumpy until the chain really bites, so be careful. Used to cut firewood and wood for iffset smokers to the proper length; works just fine.

yea i have the 16" 24+24 4amp. I cut an entire full size truck bed liner into 12" squares, still had 75%.
