Deluxe desktop can do almost anything premium can. The marketing from H&R Block is deceptive in how it describes the upgrade to premium. For example, deluxe handles stocks, crypto, and rental income, but the table suggests premium because it has more guidance supposedly. In addition, the online versions really do force you to upgrade to premium for these things. I don't think they create this confusion by accident.

Are you sure? I have rental income, I can just use the Deluxe?

2nd question, once I buy it, I can do mine, my mom and my aunty tax?

Thanks!

Yep 100% sure. The charts on the listing are extremely misleading. And yes, you can do your family's taxes also - up to 5 federal e-files included. State software for one state is included, but e-file for state is $20 each. Additional state software is $40 per state. If you're all in the same state, you can use the same software and just pay the e-file fees or mail it in. You can also e-file directly with some states on their dept of revenue site for free.
