Perhaps it depends on the brand- I've had a Spigen clear case on my phone for 4 years, still looks good & no dirt or dust between case & phone.

I think he's referring to 2 piece cases that cover front and back. I personally wouldn't trust one of these cheap magnetic cases

The magnet in this case refers to the Magsafe retainer on the back.

It has nothing to do with how the case holds the phone.

dont worry about case quality. modern phones are resilience. i got a cheap ass chase and dropped it at least 10 times already, never had any damage. in fact, the cheaper and thinner the case the better so that it's not bulky in the hand. you just need a case with a lip over the camera and front so it doesnt land on it. also to protect from back scratches.

This one is a garbage I bought half a year ago at $14. I have a magnetic car mount, and every iphone 12 and newer can work perfectly. I put this case on my s24, and it always falls even though I started my car on the driveway.

from the rendered images, the magsafe looks too low. it'll stick to magsafe accessories but charging might be intermittent or get too hot since it's not aligned properly. The qi charging coil is usually right in the middle of the phone.
