Same price on Kobo. Seems to be missing from the list of vendors:

No. I'd let middle school kids read it. Sex not descriptive. Violence. Good history.

Thanks for the feedback! My boy reads at a 9th grade level so finding appropriate content is tough

Wooooo +1 for this series! Got me hooked on reading again as an adult. The Netflix series was a huge letdown....

If you like the Napoleon war periods, the Sharpe series by the same author is amazing and has many books. Sure the same guy can't be at all those battles but it's a great character and stories!

Will Wight's Cradle series is perfect for that age, FYI. My 10 year old has read the entire series at least 6 times so far. He also really likes Will Wight's new series - The Captain.

Other books i'd recommend if he hasn't read them are The Martian and Project Hail Mary - my kid loved them both. He hasn't read Jim Butcher's Furies of Calderon series yet, only because I sideloaded them to my own kindle and can't sideload to his kids profile. Very much recommend that one too.

It's really, really hard keeping up with stuff for my kiddo. He's a natural speed reader so book series that should take him weeks instead are read in days (example - he read all 7 harry potter books in one week, while going to school as well. And he didn't read them while in school).

Oh geez…be ready because the show just glazed over his childhood in like 15mins. But the book is a lot more detailed and makes way more sense. At least for me.
