I love horror, alien, the thing and more. Tried watching both of these and just wanted to vomit and or turn it off. Nothing but torture/gore.

Down vote away. Sorry not sorry for having a differing opinion on what makes a horror movie a horror movie.

The first one was okay, because it was a short (sub 1hr 30min) movie.
The second one was a bit of a slog. It's over 2 hr 15 min long. It doesn't develop much of a plot in that time. A lot of it comes off as nonsensical. There's a dream sequence near the start that came off as really dumb that sort of turned me off to the movie. It wasn't necessary and was pretty lame.
The acting is passable, but subpar.
As others have said, it's a gorefest. But even the kills feel few and far between with the length of the movie. There aren't much in the way of chase scenes. The gore was excessive, but it didn't really feel depraved or anything to me. It's kind of low budget so you can see where things get replaced by a dummy. I think the low budget feel on the gore is kind of the point.
The Art the Clown character is pretty good. He doesn't speak, but his mannerisms are good and he looks creepy.
