Hello robovac novices, here is some info on this robot vacuum if you are on the fence. I have tested the Qrevo Pro, the Qrevo MaxV (this model), and also a Mova P10 Pro Ultra which is a Dreame rebrand. I have spent a TON of time on recent models and can give some advice if you need it, feel free to reply. These things are super exciting and are absolutely a game changer for a busy middle class household.
- It is identical to the other qrevo model PRO version which was on sale for $620 within the past month from Target and Amazon except it has a CAMERA on it to enhance object detection. All cleaning functions like the suction power and mopping power are the same as the pro model.
- The camera enhances object detection, but it still is not as good as the Mova P10 (dreame)
- mapping and navigation on this unit v. the Dreame/Mova brand is superior. It does not mop my carpets, it detects things as they should be. It is gentle with my furniture and can clean my entire house.
- The Mova P10 Pro Ultra /Dreame models (x40/L40) are inferior in their ability to get into all the spaces around the house that they can possibly fit into. They get confused and lost if the path changes while they are out cleaning or if the way into an area is complicated or narrow... such as if chairs are not perfectly pushed under the table. . The Qrevo models have never gotten lost or stuck in any of my testing.
- The Qrevo models have superior logic in how they clean the room and do not miss as many spots. The Mova P10 Pro Ultra has an extending spin brush but it frequently misses spots despite having that thing. I dont think it is worth having vs the quality of the roborock unit for covering a space.
- This model is pricey but lacks a few features the dreame ones have. You have to mix detergent into the clean water tank for it to use the stuff to clean the pads. The dreame/mova one adds it in on its own while washing the pads. I prefer just using water on my floors without any chemicals so if you get the Qrevo models you will need to choose to use their cleaner on your floors or forgo some of the hot water mop washing abilities. It will clean, just not as well IMO. The heat from drying should realistically kill a lot of bacteria.
At the end of the day roborock seems superior in quality. If you want a balance of both worlds try to get a Qrevo Master or Slim model. If price is a factor and you are not worried about a dog or cat crapping in your living room or your kids leaving random small legos all over, skip this MaxV one and go for the Qrevo Plus (no hot mop washing) or the Qrevo Pro (hot mop washing).
Roborock vac/mop versions are amazing compared to other brands. Yes it will go over thresholds, raised carpets, door jams, etc. Best type of vac/mop combo out there, worth every penny imo.
Weren't these down to the $600s thru Costco last year? I know I got one of the earlier Costco deals before it went even lower months laters. Or this a new plus ultra upgraded version for a new price point.
Edit: Yeah, looks like different model. The earlier QX Revo that was popular is down to $520. It's been phenomenal.
Get the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra from Amazon for $600. It's basically a Dreame L40 Ultra for half the cost. Much more suction, extending arm, self cleaning base, and auto mixing detergent. I have a Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra from 3 years ago. Back then there was a lot less competition. Roborock needs to be more competitive on price now with all the vaca from Dreame, Narwal, Ecovacs, Eufy, etc.
And avoid analysis paralysis. All of these robovacs have issues, especially for your unique environment. Maybe you can work around them or maybe you'll have to return them to the retailer!
Mostly agree. If you can get one at Costco it is MUCH easier to return… these boxes are huge and heavy… however I suspect you are paying more. These things go on refurb sale on eBay frequently (Dreame more often than Roborock) and the refurbs are often new/old stock/who knows?
TLDR you can probably do better than this price but the ease of Costco return has some value.
I bought same one in April thru Costco, best purchase for a vacuum/mop combo since our Neato D5 died
I bought in April too and love the QRevo mopping, we still have a Neato D5 upstairs, sometimes I bring it down and it picks up far more in the collection bin than the Qrevo Maxv. Neato really had an amazing product! RIP

I got one of these on the last Costco deal.
The robot itself worked but the base station would not suck up the dirty mop water. Roborock support was atrocious to deal with, first level support just reads the manual to you. After waiting a week to hear back from "advanced support", they agreed the base station was defective but would not send me a new one. Their solution was for me to disassemble the entire thing, pack it up and return it to Costco. Massive pain in the ass, will not buy another Roborock product.

Spend the extra $180 to get the Master version. I just bought that less than a month ago and it's been a game changer - especially the flex arm Max V doesn't have. Also, the Master version has dual brushes and extra suction power.
PS: nurses, military, and others can get validated from id.me to get an extra 10% off!
I got the same or similiar version from costco. It worked really well for a few months then I noticed that the dirty water tank only collect 20% of water then all dirty water stays in the bottom tray. so I had some damages to my hardwood floor. I cleaned it but it doesn't get better. I will need to return it soon.

oh, I just realized that you have the exact same problem that I have. Thanks, it looks I don't have to talk to the customer support.

I got sucked into analysis paralysis with these things and had myself convinced to spend $800. Then I saw a Qrevo on Roborock's Ebay refurb store for $380 and decided to just give it a shot. it arrived looking brand new with no signs of prior use, and it comes with a 2 year Allstate warranty. I have been very impressed with it, and it meets my needs just fine. It cleans about 2000 sq ft of hardwood floors, tile, and a couple area rugs while I sleep. Glad I didn't spend on bells and whistles I didn't really need (which I am prone to do).

Amazon shows $700 on MOVA P10 Pro Ultra after promotion :-(

My experience with QX Revo is different. I have returned two units, the first one started leaking and the second would not return to the dock. Got Dreame L10s Ultra Gen2 instead, almost the same price with more suction power plus extendable mop. So far so good

IMHO these mopping robots are not yet a mature technology as evidenced by the extremely rapid evolution (rotating brushes, self cleaning brushes, brush raising etc), over the last 2 years. They are close and can work for some well. However, the companies are still figuring out solutions to issues around smell, water control, effectiveness, and product quality. Youre definitely going to pay the cutting edge price and quality challenges.

Is the only difference between the and the QX the suction power? Is it worth $300 more to get this?
the V in the name means there is a camera in it as well. you can use it as a pet monitor or something . Not good for espionage as it loudly announces "REMOTE VIEWING ACTIVE! REMOTE VIEWING ACTIVE!" you cannot turn this off

I'm 100% unfamiliar with these robot vacuums... why is there such a big price difference?
I get this (QRevo Max) one has more bells and whistles and is a newer gen... but is it really worth +$660 more?

No, this one has tanks in the base station for clean and dirty water. Seems like the auto refill and drain base station is pretty rare and thus quite the premium price.
