Hello robovac novices, here is some info on this robot vacuum if you are on the fence. I have tested the Qrevo Pro, the Qrevo MaxV (this model), and also a Mova P10 Pro Ultra which is a Dreame rebrand. I have spent a TON of time on recent models and can give some advice if you need it, feel free to reply. These things are super exciting and are absolutely a game changer for a busy middle class household.

- It is identical to the other qrevo model PRO version which was on sale for $620 within the past month from Target and Amazon except it has a CAMERA on it to enhance object detection. All cleaning functions like the suction power and mopping power are the same as the pro model.

- The camera enhances object detection, but it still is not as good as the Mova P10 (dreame)

- mapping and navigation on this unit v. the Dreame/Mova brand is superior. It does not mop my carpets, it detects things as they should be. It is gentle with my furniture and can clean my entire house.

- The Mova P10 Pro Ultra /Dreame models (x40/L40) are inferior in their ability to get into all the spaces around the house that they can possibly fit into. They get confused and lost if the path changes while they are out cleaning or if the way into an area is complicated or narrow... such as if chairs are not perfectly pushed under the table. . The Qrevo models have never gotten lost or stuck in any of my testing.

- The Qrevo models have superior logic in how they clean the room and do not miss as many spots. The Mova P10 Pro Ultra has an extending spin brush but it frequently misses spots despite having that thing. I dont think it is worth having vs the quality of the roborock unit for covering a space.

- This model is pricey but lacks a few features the dreame ones have. You have to mix detergent into the clean water tank for it to use the stuff to clean the pads. The dreame/mova one adds it in on its own while washing the pads. I prefer just using water on my floors without any chemicals so if you get the Qrevo models you will need to choose to use their cleaner on your floors or forgo some of the hot water mop washing abilities. It will clean, just not as well IMO. The heat from drying should realistically kill a lot of bacteria.

At the end of the day roborock seems superior in quality. If you want a balance of both worlds try to get a Qrevo Master or Slim model. If price is a factor and you are not worried about a dog or cat crapping in your living room or your kids leaving random small legos all over, skip this MaxV one and go for the Qrevo Plus (no hot mop washing) or the Qrevo Pro (hot mop washing).
Roborock vac/mop versions are amazing compared to other brands. Yes it will go over thresholds, raised carpets, door jams, etc. Best type of vac/mop combo out there, worth every penny imo.
Weren't these down to the $600s thru Costco last year? I know I got one of the earlier Costco deals before it went even lower months laters. Or this a new plus ultra upgraded version for a new price point.

Edit: Yeah, looks like different model. The earlier QX Revo that was popular is down to $520. It's been phenomenal.

Amazon has the Q5 Pro on sale for for $140 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7VLHMQR)

I'm 100% unfamiliar with these robot vacuums... why is there such a big price difference?
I get this (QRevo Max) one has more bells and whistles and is a newer gen... but is it really worth +$660 more?
I got q5 pro plus during last sale, for $319 i believe. It's good enough for the hard floors. It's much quieter and cleans better than roomba 805 it replaced. It's annoying that it runs out of water halfway thru the cleaning cycle. It doesn't get stuck, cleans very fast, and overall I'm happy. In a hindsight, i should've gotten a top of the line model, but i wasn't confident in the brand.

So is this the same model that Costco has been selling, just more expensive? Or is it just a new slight variation that Roborock seems to like pushing out every other month?

What is the difference between this model and https://www.macys.com/shop/produc...D=19287797 ?
Or from Roborock website: https://us.roborock.com/products/...8288771190
UPDATE: I see Costco and Mayc'es have a Hot water mop feature.

I am on mobile and your links are all weird but there are 5 models. The qrevo with 5200PA (suction power related metric but is frequently a marketing tool v real world performance), the S with 7000 suction but no extending mops, the plus, the pro, and the maxv. I discussed the plus and pro and the maxv in my other post. The plus, pro, and maxv have 7000 PA and an extending side mop which is absolutely important. The base model has lower suction and the mop does not extend. The S is in between. If you go up to their upper line (Master, Slim, Curv, Edge) you also get and extending arm and dual rollers but honestly for most people the plus or pro models are great unless you need the object detection….. The qrevo Master is better value than the maxv if you can go a few hundred more but the MaxV is also excellent if you have mostly non carpeted floors

The MaxV model means that it includes a camera for better obstacle avoidance. It is noticeably better at navigating around objects. The downside is that you're sacrificing privacy if you care about that.
They send the video to their servers? The lag involved makes it doubtful it's to process information.

I can't believe companies? We record video of the inside of your house for no other reason than we want to and people let us.

I haven't had one of these combo mop and vacuum units. Is it "smart" about knowing where it can mop, vs not (tile floors vs carpet)?
Also, does it automatically adjust the vacuum for different piles of carpeting?

We have a mix of many different floorings, so want to be sure it'll do the right thing without extra human intervention.
I have the ecovacs version, it is smart about knowing the flooring type. Ours adjusts the vacuum power for the flooring type, based on our preferences.
I see many reviews for these things and I keep seeing the same issue, but I don't think it's an issue. When you have the mopping plate installed the vacuum will skip the carpets. It's smart but doesn't have retractable mopping pads

I am debating on picking up a Qrevo Pro for $559 + tax, what are your thoughts? The MaxV is $820 + tax at Costco, but sounds like the only benefit would be the Costco return policy, should anything go wrong? Does the camera really not help at all with any detection, and there truly is no other difference between the Pro and MaxV?

I'm all for the Costco return policy, but paying nearly $300 more after tax just for the return policy feels excessive if there are no other benefits on the MaxV versus the Pro.

Depends on your home layout and floors, etc. The Qrevo Pro is awesome! The MaxV is 100% not worth the upgrade imo. It is slightly better for not running into things. If you want a upgrade from the Pro you should look at the Qrevo Master on amazon that is $850 right now in the US. If you buy from Amazon you can get the 2 year protection plan for 69.99 which absolutely you will probably end up using if you keep it for 3 years. For $619 on amazon you can get the pro and also get the warranty. I suggest amazon due to the option to buy the warranty either way. I think this is superior to costco in that costco technically only takes these things back for 90 days due to the item category. It also only has a 1 year warranty from costco. I prefer to follow posted store policies and not rely on them to make an exception since in 3 years the market could look different and they may not be as lenient.

Since you seem like you are a little price sensitive like I am, you might want to consider getting the Mova P10 Pro Ultra. It is $600 right now and you can get the extended warranty and still come out under $700. After trying the Master, MaxV, Pro, and 2 separate Mova P10 pro ultras I am now sticking with the mova p10 pro ultra. My original plan was to wait for the Saros 10R but the Mova P10 pro ultra once setup seems to be doing a fine job and I just cannot justify spending 3x the cost for what seems to be a only lightly improved experience in the end.

I am guessing they are looking at the discounted price on roborocks website for people who qualify for 10% off (military, teachers, students, etc)

Roborock Qrevo Pro Robot Vacuum with Multifunctional Dock 2.0

I do NOT recommend buying directly from the company unless you can insure it some other way or only plan on using it for a year. There are reasons why they stopped offering to sell warranties through their own website..... I have read some saying they can buy something from another store and just buy the warranty from amazon but YMMV.

I think instead of paying 820 for this the new Mova P50 Pro Ultra is 899 and comes with 3 year warranty included. Should be much better
