Damn they all look weak, and flimsy. And in need of a box spring, which are becoming less and less common due to mamy bed frames incorporating supporting slats

I have one of these (the first picture kind but different color) in a spare bedroom and it's a great. Took a while to build but it is sturdy and there' no need for box spring. My cats loves to use it as a scratching post but that's not really the bed's fault.

The drawers look interesting but the reviews on them state that they're not good for heavy items and not the easiest to close. They're probably ok for items that you don't use often like spare comforters, etc. but I don't know how great they would be for daily items. I recently ordered but have not yet received this from Walmart. FYI for those looking for an upholstered queen platform with no drawers.

Yeah they need a box spring so what lots of us already own them. It doesn't feel weak or flimsy. 6'5" 220 pounds
