It's $27 on Amazon, it's a good deal but not a 60% discount

They say battery life is 36 months but Logitech has products with that on regular batteries, I'd imagine longer if you use lithium AAAs or something. Really curious why the designer went with these, and it isn't like the aesthetics is some fashion colors either.

This one is a thin and light keyboard. I have it in my backpack when I got to office. Wouldn't have been possible if it had to have 2 AAA batteries.

I have this keyboard and really like the low profile, as another poster stated, it wouldn't be possible with AAAs.

Having said that though, I don't get 36 months. I used this as a daily keyboard and got far less than that. Maybe if I turned it off between not using the computer the batteries would last longer.

can't imagine the use case for this... I know someone mentioned backpack but still. I have a surface pro like dell tablet and I cant imagine this being lighter/thinner than the surface like keyboard.

Thanks for the feedback, that just makes me wonder why not a rechargeable design then if it's not going to last. I have some generic tablet ones but the ergonomics is not so good.

I can see a few limited cases. The primary one would be used with a phone or tablet while traveling. I have a small BT keyboard I use with my phone when traveling instead of taking a laptop. One person I know uses a keyboard+Android desktop mode+tv in the hotel room instead of a work laptop. If those cars work for you, it might be worth it.

I guess it could also be used for a home theater PC but for that I'd rather have one with a built in track pad.

For the phone use-case, I have an iPad clam case with a broken hinge that should be lighter than this. I figure a lot of folks have an old(er) BT keyboard from a tablet; otherwise, sure.

I have the logitech kb+tracpad for the HTPC.

I'm not going to claim that this is a good/bad choice even for my limited use case. I use the kb I have because I already have it. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to buy one for my use case.... Well maybe if it was like the old Palm folding keyboard...
