Yep, I would recommend going for something lower like cl30 or cl32 for gaming builds

my team group kit with the same specs but the cas latency is 32 for this name brand crucial for just a few dollars more. I'm not a gamer. Stability and longevity is my focus. Opinion?
crucial has micron chips, they're slow, do not buy, opt for 6400cl32 instead or 6000cl30
Someone recently did some testing comparing modules with various CL timings, I think it may have been Jays2Cents. From what I could tell you might be looking at a frame or two of FPS difference, unless you were playing something that ran at like 200+ FPS and then you might see 5-7 FPS difference. I'm not saying that it's totally irrelevant, but you'll probably benefit more from higher bandwidth than a tad lower latency.
