Dead Wrong. The only difference between light, amber or dark is the time of the season in which the sap was gathered, combined with skill to lessen the time syrup was in the finishing pan(s). Been making/selling syrup since 1971. YMMV.

Syrup from VT and ME are excellent, but tend to be more expensive. He's not wrong - if tariffs hit Canadian imports, it will not only drive up the cost of Canadian syrup, but US manufacturers will raise their prices since they can.

It's actually better after 15% off on any 4 qualifying items [amazon.com] if you buy 4, the final price after 15% discount and 15% S&S is $3.43 /8 fl.oz making it $0.5 cheaper than Costco price $14.99/ 33.8 fl.oz. Thx OP.

Costco Same Day in my area shows 33.8oz for $15.20, so I'd guess $13-14 in store.

Dark color maple syrup has a better maple flavor, golden taste like it's just pure sugar!

Sams club (members mark) maple syrup is available on Amazon too for only $12 for 32oz, with a subscribe and save option.

Dark syrup ftw. Lighter, it is not concentrated. Its thin water syrup.

Has anyone tried Grade B (now called grade A dark)? It's supposed to have a fuller, more mapley 🍁 flavor.
