But after the last week with the whole Costco M3 Pro ordeal…those chat reps are gonna have PTSD if you hit them up about this

This is the best price you can get on a m2 air. For those looking for a laptop you can get this. Bought this from quick ship last year and it's fantastic. 16gb of ram is a game changer compared to the 8GB.

I was finally able to get the price match after speaking with three different agents.

Great RAM, lackluster storage
People don't understand Apple laptops. It has Thunderbolt ports, so you put NVMe SSD storage in an enclosure and you have up to 16 TB of storage very nearly as fast as the internal SSD. Pay for the least amount of storage possible with Apple and beat them at their game.

256GB is pretty miserly for 2025
Use the Thunderbolt port with a Thunderbolt enclosed NVMe SSD and have up to 16 TB that's very fast. Buy the least amount of storage on an Apple

BestBuy approved my price match, issued the refund, and then contacted me 3 hours later to say that it doesn't quality as the item is not available from BrandSmart and rescinded the refund. It definitely is still available and is the same model number/specs/etc. Didn't realize that they could offer me a price adjustment on the spot, and then rescind it later. Could it be that the item is not available for shipping and is for local pickup?

You described any premium laptop (including Windows)
Premium Windows laptops are a lot more capable but they cost more, a lot more. I use workstation laptops from Dell and HP for myself, but I buy MBooks for the kids - the Air is perfect for school. It gets slightly problematic for college because some majors' applications may run/not run or have variance in features or require additional/different environment to install etc. but in general should be fine. Nobody studies in Oracle or SAP environment in college anyway.

Zen Books is not that expensive. Acer's Spin series is premium and not that expensive either. And Lenovo's Yoga series. nodnod

I'm pretty sure I chatted with an AI bot at BB and got the price match that way. Is everyone else talking to real live reps?
Either way, this is an excellent deal

Went into brick and mortar Best Buy in NJ. Flat out refused to honor it for a site they never heard of. Went outside, read this review, and opened up the app, went to chat got price matched - should be delivered in two days.

Sometimes the store reps just refuse to price match sites they haven't heard of and won't listen to what you have to say.

This needs to be price for 512Gb.
256Gb should be obsolete.

How does it work? They require me to give name, email, and number asap but I just want to check how Price Match works. (Like, step-by-step? If anyone's so kind to do so. Will they provide a special link? Thank you!)

You send them the link to the product on the competitors website, they look it over and then send you a secure link to buy it from Best Buy's website at that price.

How are you guys all able to price match? I've called about 10 different agents on the phone and via chat, and they all stop when asking for my zip code and finding out that there is no BrandSmartUSA in my state. Also, how are folks getting the AI chatbot? Everything I click on gets me to an agent. Similar to my prior approval, they want me to purchase first and then they issue me a refund (which they can evidently rescind) but it seems others are getting a custom link, which i've not been able to do since the agents shut me down right away once I give my zip code. Thanks all.
