Consumer Reports gives it 80/100 with excellent function/performance scores stating "This model had No performance flaws Noted." It's only brought down by expected reliability and satisfaction (likely due to a few bad years of Samsung appliances). It's definitely worth buying at this price IMHO.
If you register, you'll get a free extra year warranty too.

Induction ranges are efficient and cook rapidly. I recommend that people watch youtube videos that demonstrate induction cooking.
If I cooked more often than I do, I'd buy this range.
I used to sell appliances and Samsung wasn't my favorite brand. But this is a good price for a slide-in Induction.

If you don't have pots and pans that are made from a ferrous metal (Magnet will stick to it) you will need to purchase those. Copper, aluminum will NOT cook on this top.

It's only $100 more at costco
https://www.costco.com/samsung-6....less+steel

Buying from costco includes 2-year warranty, free delivery, installation, haul away of old appliance.

Could well be worth the $100 difference for many.

Anything goes wrong on this thing good luck . Cracked the glass with my last one and was unable to find a supplier or part that made sense vs buying a new one. Find a stove with repair ability

I actually went back and read the article and I guess the #1 reason people gave for buying the Range + battery was they wanted electric but it was too expensive to install a 240v outlet. Maybe in time they'll come down but $3k+ is a lot for a range.
True, depending on the house layout it may be quite expensive to run the wire through finished space.
To be fair, the stove looks in line if not better than the regular ones in the same price range. A 5KWH battery costs less than $1000, so this portion of the price is covered by the tzx credit. The stove isn't as ridiculous as it looks at first glance.

Doubt it's 220 especially if it's gas
I've never heard of a gas induction stove.

I've had the gas version of this range for about 3.5 years and haven't had any issues with it. Obviously a lot more to go wrong with the induction top though.

My Samsung fridge on the other hand...
We've had good luck with Sammy washer, dryer, and stove. Horrible experience with refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave.
Honestly, I'm at the point where I'm avoiding Sammy unless it's an amazing deal (like this, but I'm broke).

I'm tempted to get one from Costco because of better service. Can't I get the cookware set with the Costco model? Samsung website says that the model is eligible to redeem.
I checked the offer T&C. https://www.samsung.com/us/shop/p...ffer-2025/ It says that the purchase must be made from "a retail dealer" and they might argue that wholesale clubs are not eligible. But the only store specifically excluded is Lowes.

Less than $100 difference- BestBuy charges at least $30 for shipping, and Costco has an opportunity to save extra 2% ($50) with the Executive membership. But Costco doesn't include the cookware set.
BestBuy also has a 29CF Bespoke fridge for $1800, it was $2000 last Black Friday. Costco has it for $2100, but when adding both fridge and stove to cart, the total drops to $2350 thanks to the $800 discount. This combo is $2630+delivery at BestBuy. BestBuy also promised a 75" Samsung TV when spending $2500 however it didn't show up in my cart.
Costco killed the bundling deal overnight... so im going to assume that was a glitch lol. I got mine at least.

Is it Induction charging? Does it need 220 volts or 110 volts?
There exist plenty of 110V tabletop cooktops. They don't cook as rapidly as 220V though. Ferrous metal pots and pans are needed for these since these are also induction.

It's induction cooking. Definitely uses 240V like other electric ranges.
There have been studies that have shown that 220V Induction tops can heat as rapidly (Or more rapidly) as Pro-Gas tops.
Also, less chance of scalding the food.

There are ranges with Gas on top and Electric oven (220V) . These are "Dual Fuel" ranges.
Some chefs actually prefer the Gas top and the electric oven. They feel the oven temps are more accurate and even throughout. Of course if the Electric Oven is Convection, that can also help the internal temps to be more even and some items can bake/roast more rapidly.

Has anyone seen a freestanding version rather than the slide-in?
If the space you have, has had a Free Standing range and you get the Slide-in Ranges, you will likely need a "filler" behind the new stove. other-wise there will be a Gap between the back of the range and the wall. You may also need some sort of tile or metal back-splash.

Funny you should say that. I saw these a few week ago on a tech blog. They run off a 120v 15amp outlet so I guess there is a use case but they are crazy expensive. https://copperhome.com/products/charlie
These are new and seem really nice. Too bad they are so expensive. Maybe some day the prices will drop. It would have to drop DRASTICALLY or some other company would need to come up with one that's less expensive. But, I do like what it seems to be able to do.
I am curious about how well the oven bakes though. If the 110V works with the back up batteries (Induction batteries) and can hold the heat needed and long enough to bake/Roast with enough heat, that would be good. And for some that bake all day, I'm curious how well the oven keeps up. Cool product.

They didn't. It probably doesn't show on your account because you already used the promotion.

You'll be sorry down the road. Worst refrigerators, washers and driers… I went through a number of Samsung appliances and cursed the day I ever bought a Samsung product (except their phones)…. Longevity doesn't exist, period.
