I got a 5 cubit foot freezer last year (different brand) and it's been excellent to have.

The only reason I wanted a new refrigerator was for a bigger freezer, and now I have that.

Frozen dinners are $2 instead of $3.50, time to stock up!

I'm at Costco I'm not sure if I need another 4 pound bag of wings, get them anyways, I've got room!
If they're on sale get 3 or 4.

The big box of waffles are on sale, grab 'em, I've got room!

I think I've paid for it in savings in the 9 months that I've had it already.

Garage ready, 0°F to 110°F...
Probably not AZ summer garage ready.

It states an operating temperature range of 0-110F and summer in AZ exceeds that so it's something to take into account.

I have this, and it's been great so far. I've seen posts in other threads talking about potential shipping damage. Mine was shipped without issue.

Depends where you put it and where you live but I have a similar 7 cu ft one that says estimated $37/yr. YMMV.

Costco and Sam's can save you money. With a deep freezer you can wait for sales on items and stock up then. I have to say this pairs well with a vacuum sealer if you buy meats as well.

Chest freezers >>>> Upright freezers all day.

With chest freezers, since cold air is dense it sinks to the floor. In upright freezers the cold air flows right out when you open it, in chest freezers it stays put.

There is a reason why supermarkets use chest freezers to display frozen products in the open. It works and chest freezers are cheaper to run.

Why does this read like bro science...
What about that is unbelievable to you? Cold air wanting to sink making a chest model more efficient than a standing freezer needing air re-circulation is about as... basic as science gets
