i have 5600 non-x, does it really matter that much?.

i was waiting for an X3D deal again from microcenter since i'm local. either the 7000 or the 9000 series

This was basically exactly what I thought. The only reasons to jump from a 5600 to this combo is 1) just wanting to get into AM5/DDR5 for future upgrades, 2) having less than 32GB ram currently, or 3) somehow not already booting from an NVME drive.
This is a really cheap way to get into AM5, but it won't be a huge improvement from an AMD 5000 series.

7800X3D and the 9000 series X3D are way pricier but yeah, I hear ya. Micro Center has amazing combo deals, closest one to me is Denver which is an 8 hr. drive, sux!

Lol I should return my Nvidia shield from the other day and just get this. HTPC and moar for only $100 more. Assuming I keep my case and power supply..
