That approach might not be the most efficient. Replacing only the blades could actually save costs in the long run and would also be more environmentally friendly.
Also, if you drop the foil cover & blades in a cup of hydrogen peroxide for 30 mins; the fizzy bubbles does wonders at cleaning all the funk off.
So a new so called "close" electric foil every year is better than replacement heads; but compared to one $7 100ct box of DE razor blades, with up to 7 sharpest shaves each double blade?
Maths is hard.
As if the DE set ever cost more (LOL) it would still be worth it.
