They are both well made and comfortable though I will probably insert my trusted Dr Scholl's insoles for extra support.
They are slip-on with tight elastic. You can wear them for easy hike, but they are mostly for walking.
The black ones are made from soft suede and very comfortable for running errands. The camo ones are made from heavy-duty water-resistant nylon, similar material to hiking shoes. They are good for long walk and wet ground.
They are heavier than sneakers. Their soles are made entirely from rubber similar to hiking shoes while sneakers soles are made from foam plus a thin layer of rubber. But they are still lighter than hiking shoes. While my Merrell low-top hiking shoes weigh 14oz per shoe and my Saucony trail running shoes weigh 8oz per shoe, these slip-on shoes weigh 12 oz for black and 13oz for camo.
I like the tougher soles because all my walking shoes were worn out at their soles first.
