The fact that this model doesn't have a memory upgrade option since it is soldered maybe important to some who shops for a laptop on a budget.

What is even the point of a forum if everything has to be blindly in favour of the original post?

What a silly comment. The person made a decent and helpful observation.

And yet here you are, not taking your own advice.

I hadn't caught the 8GB spec so the post was very relevant to me.

Not for everyone. I have a Dell Lattiude 8th gen Intel 8GB soldered. Wasn't happy about it, but SSD was upgraded to 1TB. It's a world-class laptop. Excellent keyboard, extremely durable, beautiful screen, excellent trackpad, long lasting battery. And it's a 2-in-1 great for doing art 4096 levels of pen pressure sensitivity. 9/10 over most any laptop for all those other things. Sometimes, you have to look at the whole package.

No new retail laptop motherboards will have socketed RAM for user upgrades, so these comments are equally obsolete, like complaining about headphone jacks missing from new phones
I bought a brand new Asus laptop 1 month ago with an open ram socket for expansion.

If only the laptop posts have basic information everyone looks at minimum like, RAM upgradability, true resolution or screen, usb c charging, slots for memory upgrades, many of the questions dont come on everythread.

Whatever it is worth to you, i am still using a Thosiba laptop (i7 6th gen) with one slot soldered with 8 GB RAM which i got 8 years back. Soldering RAM isnt new if thats new to you. I am in market for a new laptop but cant be stuck with 8GB as the days go, it means slower machine.

Saw that details from Manufacturer site and my thought. If complaining, now, you know who it is.

That is not true. Many systems have upgradable memory and additionial .m2 slots for adding a drive. What should be obsolete are comments that try to push misinformation as fact.

An oled laptop for this price is great. Touchscreen to top it off is even better. The 8gb of ram is sufficient if your main goal is to use this for basic office work and school work. I would get this if I saw this deal 3 months ago.
