Ive used a roaster for the last 10 years of turkeys.
Its better, I think, that you have your oven free to cook other stuff, and the cook time, it cooks very quickly when compared to an oven. The taste is similar, but i feel the roaster keeps the turkey moister, but that just me.
I find a convection oven(the kind with a fan) browns better, but dries turkey out.
TL/DR buy one! lol

The issue with cookware nowadays is health safety, is it stainless steel or aluminum or the other crap coating that's been linked to hormones disturbance, just have to do some research.
