I played the 2021 version recently. Imo it was really good , some of the scenes are really graphic so if you are a fan of horror and visual novels then go for it.

The remastered Corpse Party (2021 version) is a classic and way better than its original version (especially because they added really competent voice acting and a huge art upgrade), and arguably the best one in the series. Its sequel gives it a run for its money, but this is definitely a top-tier horror game with more than enough bad endings to pursue to keep you busy for a while.

HIGHLY recommend the 2021 version as it's fantastic. The art is amazing, the story is pretty good, the sound quality and voice acting is top tier (DEFINITELY use headphones). Multiple bad endings you can get for each of the various chapters depending on what you do in the chapter. You can also unlock additional side stories as well for characters that aren't the main cast as bonus content. So there's a lot of bang for your buck.
It is the best of the Corpse Party games in my (and many others) opinion.
