Big fan of this thing, holds a charge pretty well and is super bright. Magnetic base and all the rotation options are very useful

I have the older version of this light. I got it about 3 years ago and it still works great. Just sharing info.

to get one of these at this price you literally have wait outside at 5am as if it were black friday
Now it is only a week and a half away... time to start camping to guarantee your spot!

I don't shop much at HF (bit of a distance for me).... they seem to have online ordering to ship to a store for pick up at the store. Could I order this on March 7 to get the sale price and pick it up later? From this discussion, it seems like there will be a rush on these, and I don't really want to travel a distance to have them sold out. Would another option be to order online and ship to my home - it looks like shipping is a flat 6.99? Thanks for any insight.

Yes, that is where they break. We go through lots of these, but we are hard on them. We always get the warranty, because there is like 100% chance we are going to break it within a year or two. Still, they are a great light, and if you don't drop it a bunch, it holds up well. We have 2 or 3 right now that are taped up due to a broken hinge, but they still work, just not as versatile when taped.
I'm seeing the 90 day warranty that comes with the flashlight - do you get an additional warranty? Who from, and have you ever used it? If so, was it an easy process, or a PIA like many seem to be?

We're hard on lights, too, and it would be awesome if there was an easy to use warranty that would ensure this doesn't become just a throwaway item. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I have one of the older ones and recently got one of the new ones and don't understand how the old design is better. The new ones are brighter, have USB c vs micro USB, can fold in half vs only to 90 degrees, are more compact, and seems like they are better built. They improved pretty much everything with the new design. Maybe the battery life was better with the old design but I haven't used it long enough to notice.
I also have both the old and new versions of these Braun light bars. The new version is better as you listed all the pros. The only advantage the old one has is the light output bar (the actual part that's outputting the light) of the old version is a little longer than the new version. I am not sure if the light output is any more than the new version.

Anyone have any longer-term (3 months+) experience with this revision (USB-C version) of the light? I was going to bite but the most recent reviews scared me off, almost like the revised one (but with the same part number) has some battery quality issues.

not really a big deal if the battery dies. On this light the bottom unscrews just like a light that uses disposable batteries, and you can buy another 18650 for a few bucks and replace it

I have checked multiple different stores across multiple states and haven't found any in stock anywhere.

I assume no ship option either? I see available to ship at $20 price, maybe based on area.
