Buying from the LG partner store is a huge gamble. I ordered the 77" G4 for $2370 the first time and they shipped me a tv with a cracked screen and then the replacement was clearly opened and repackaged and also had a cracked screen. 10 weeks since I originally placed the order and almost 1 month since I rejected the 2nd tv and I still don't have a refund from LG. Had to dispute the charge with the CC company instead. Their customer service is *dreadful*. It cannot be overstated how useless and terrible their customer service is.

I did then buy the 77" G4 again for $2200 with store pickup from Best Buy via the partner store and so far so good. Don't know what fresh hell would have awaited if something was wrong with that TV but it seemed like it came from Best Buy's stock so maybe better chance of getting a good TV to begin with.

If you're going to risk buying from the partner store it needs to be a *stellar* deal.

Wish you could decline the installations and get that applied to the TV.

Also hard to say this is a better deal than a 77 inch C3, as the C3 > B4 and has frequently been only $100 more ($1499) - less than a week ago from Best Buy even.

Torn between this and the Hisense 75U8n. Current TV is an LG 65b7a with severe burn-in. Took TV down from over fireplace and have it mounted on a wall directly across 12' of windows. Only watch TV during daylight hours during football season - so not a huge issue, but the glare is noticeable. Haven't pulled the trigger yet because of LG Partner Store delivery issues mentioned here and preference to purchase TV from Costco (who doesn't currently sell that Hisense model). Also, will wait and see whether my local Costcos have blowout warehouse deals once 2025 models come out.

All true. That said, as an owner of both a C and B series, the picture is pretty much identical on both. I assumed there'd be a meaningful difference, but there isn't. And since I didn't care about the "smart" features, the B is fine, for anyone on the fence. And just in case it's a question, its smart features work fine, I just prefer to use my PS5 or series X.
Yeah, it's primarily the brightness that's the difference. 50% more for $100 is worth it for most, but not all. If you know you're using in a consistently dark room there's probably no noticeable difference.

Check your local Costco warehouses... I just bought a 77B4 on closeout for $800 in store brand new in sealed box. I bought it the week before for $1,800 on Costco online and they would not refund the $1,000 difference. No help in store or calling the number. They told me to return the first one and they will send someone to pick it up. What a waste.

Why not just take the brand new one you just bought in store and immediately return it using online order number?

I inquired about that. They told me the reason is they check the serial numbers so it has to be the first tv that goes back. According to them, this was the only way to do it. 🤷

That's crazy. I can't believe they couldn't just price match, the delivery and return process for both probably cost them an extra $100.

Absolutely. I told them the whole thing was crazy and we could settle it right here. Now they have a returned TV bought at retail they can't sell again at that price and another good TV taken off the floor. Such a waste.

The LG Partner Store is terrible for order updates, delivery, and warranty issues. Know what you're getting into before making this purchase.

My order was due for delivery and install. No update on the TV delivery. Called and they said oh it's on back order but we've shipped your soundbar and mount. So now I need to reschedule the Handy install and wait for who knows how long before the TV is shipped.

My friend has the B and really wishes he put the extra $$ towards a C because while the B is a nice upgrade from LCD TVs, the C's brightness makes a difference. Our friend has a G and it REALLY pops off. Keeping up with the Jones's syndrome sucks
They purposely gimp the lower models

Here we go with LG Partner. I was supposed to have delivery tomorrow and now it's delayed. Let the fun begin.

Anyone else received their B4?

Was the TV marked at $800 or did you have to ask for the discount? I have been checking my local stores regularly (via the app and whenever I am in there) ever since the NYC store markdowns and no dice yet in my area, but I haven't bothered to nag them about it yet.

It was marked at $800 for anyone to take. I went to other stores to check and a clerk looked it up on this kiosk and that store was the only one to blow them out that drastically. All other stores were at $1,799. I saw it with my own eyes on his 80's green text only interface lol.

There were two left, one was gone by the time I got back from arguing at member services. I took the last one like a rat and since they refused to price match, I returned the one I got two weeks ago for $1,799.

Still 90 day returns, still 5 years warranty as usual for Costco tv's...

I just got a text from the delivery service that my TV is arriving today. Yesterday it was delayed. I'm not holding my breath it's in the way.
