I remember this game being fun when it came out 15 years ago. But the current reviews say that the game has a lot of bugs that were never fixed ever.

Played it four years ago. Great game. Lots of humor. Think Diablo-style looting system in a FPS format. Need to find time to play the sequels !

I picked it up yesterday and played it for a few hours. Seems pretty solid and very comparable (aka not 'dated') to BL2 and BL3 which I have played through within the last 1-2 years. Haven't run into any bugs yet. Honestly the gameplay / shooting feels more refined vs 2, more like 3 which I prefered.

Thanks for the advice. As someone who has played all three (and recently) would you recommend BL3 for $5 (available at some key shops) or BL1 for this $3 deal.

Or maybe BL2 for some other reason if you liked other aspects of that better.

I don't know honestly. I personally think 3 plays the best, shooting feels most crisp, etc. But I think 3 received a lot of hate from the community. Not sure why. 1 seems like a close second to 3 in terms of raw gameplay. I will say 3 did start to wear thin, felt like it was about 10-15 hours too longer than it needed to be. But if you are someone who likes 100%-ing games that might be a good thing to have seemingly endless content.

I will say this "enhanced" version looks pretty darn good for a 16 year old game.

Maybe start with 1 just for giggles.

*If you collect free games on Epic and Amazon make sure you don't own a few of them already. Epic especially gives away a random BL game or standalone expansion a few times a year.
