If they re-built the whole soundbar with all Mayht drivers, it may be pretty game changing, but guessing this one is "pretty good" at best

Just curious how much better is this over the last gen.

In the end you'll spend about $1600 (with this very nice sake and 2x Era 300), and total home theater will be about 25% better.
You could sell the Arc to offset a bit.
I never had Arc, but I have the Ultra with 2x Era 300 and 2x Sun 4 and I am blown away by the setup for movies. I had never had a home theater before but this setup sounds as good as or better than theaters I've gone to,
Even with all those speakers, I don't really like the way it sounds for music though. I've added to Sonos five speakers at the front of the room that I can mix in and out with the Home Theater set up to get the right sound for hi-fi music listening.
So if you want excellent sound for movies AND music, prepare to spend A LOT. Thst said, I get goosebumps and thoroughly love listening to music and movies with this setup.
And with their upcoming streaming box, I may be able to make a proper front left and right speaker set up for Home Theater. Exciting!
