USB ports are 5V only which is a minor plus, as I have a few dumb USB powered devices that my high power USB-PD/QC charger doesn't detect as plugged in and thus won't output any power, so I can't switch on the device (a USB fan) since that requires 5V to be present for the soft power button to work. I do use a 45W 3-port QC/PD charger which is bigger for heat dissipation and higher power output.
It's also good for places when you need AC outlets plus 1-2 low powered and/or always-on USB gadgets (security camera, Echo Dot, charging under-cabinet motion sensing LED light bars, flashlights, sonic toothbrush and oral irrigator, shaver, and a million gadgets with built-in batteries).

The upside to this device is really the AmazonBasics branding, which in part explains the UL-listing and other expected markings visible on the woot! and Amazon [amazon.com] listings. These simply will not be found on the various power strips normally promoted on Slickdeals.
