That's a nice deal after the hack. If it was a 3.0AH I'd probably even hang onto the battery, but idk how long a 1.5 would last in there.

Looks like a nice light. It's magnetic too. I'm a sucker for magnets.

How long do they last with the small batteries?

Magnet is a must for all lights.

Approximations based on the XC4.0 listed on the web page being converted down to the 1.5 provided. Someone can let me know if I did this incorrectly.

1,5ah/4ah = 0.375 capacity of the manufacturer tested battery of 4 Ah.

0.375 x 3.5hrs = 1.3125 hours on high (1000 lumens) with the 1.5 Ah battery.

0.375 x 7.5 = 2.8125 hours on medium (400 lumens) with the 1.5 Ah battery.

0.375 x 15 = 5.625 hours on low (200 lumens) with the 1.5 Ah battery.

All things considered, you should expect about one third the runtime of the 4 Ah battery…give or take. Hope this helps.

Literally one of the most helpful comment I read in weeks on SD

Same! I have a couple 1.5's and a 3 that came with bundles. It would take a larger battery to be worth it for me. I did the hack! Sweeet! Thanks OP.

I have this light and many other m12, m18 and lithium 18650 Milwaukee lights. This is the one that I use the least FYI. I dont really like it. The Rover is much better and cheaper

I used my original one all the time before it went missing 6 months ago. Yes, the magnet is very strong and very helpful. The spring loaded clamp to grip a 2x came in handy as well. I never had issues using the 1.5Ah batteries because they either lasted longer than whatever job I was working on or my next trip back into the garage. In for 1 for a replacement.

Q- on a recent deal I've tried the return hack and didn't have very good luck even with the manager coming over and saying that there's nothing he can do about it since "there's not an option for the system to do it any other way other than a full kit refund".Thoughts or any verified ways of doing the hack?

We need more details to help with that.

There are combos that are not hackable, usually indicated by either a $0.00 line item cost or no separate cost at all.

If the two items both show reduced costs in your cart, say $36.58 for one and $63.41 for the other, then most of us have had no issue returning one of the items and keeping the other.

There's are kits that come with bonus batteries in separate packaging, but they're not hackable.

Nice light but a bit awkward for most of my uses. The magnet was used once, glad I had it. It's good for area light. Works nice for like under sinks cabinets as long as you got a direct light like a Rover for the specific spots your shadow creates relative to the bigger light.

That's a good price though but hacks suck. I just want to buy it and not jump through hoops and do weird semi-ethical manure. And you really need a bigger battery for any serious use and that's what this is for.
