How is it a sketchy seller? They have two stores that i know of here in Georgia one of them 10 minutes away from me. They have been in business for decades.

Interesting that the 83" C4 is net cheaper than the 83" C2 5 year warranty Costco clearance package was 2 years later.

My bad - I thought it was a generic online seller I never heard of. It's definitely something to watch out for - an 83" TV is a big headache to deal with - but if you're comfortable or nearby that seller could be fine.

Brandsmart is fine. They're a large brick and mortar store where I live in Florida. Huge stores. I've bought plenty of High end tvs from them over the decades.

$2499 is my guess at some point.. It's $2700 today at the lg partner store and $1260 for the 77" B4 which is a great deal.. The 83" B4 which is essentially the same as the C3 83" (same A9 processor on both!) is down to $2025. If I was buying a tv today I would grab the 83" B4 for $2,000!!! I have a G4, it's nice and some what brighter then a c4 but if you watch tv like most people later in the day when it's darker there is really no need for a G4 IMHO... I'd rather get what i need and save the $$$, plus keep in mind that the "glorified" 5 year warranty that used to be great on the G series is now been gutted w/ the G4 as you only get the lousy 1 year labor warranty where you were getting 3 year labor on the G3's, good Job LG instilling faith in your top end line G4's by lowering the warranty coverage! Yeah, you still get the 5 year screen warr but your stuck paying $500-$600 in labor to replace the screen after year 1 which sux!

Exactly. Streaming 8k takes less than 100mbs. That is the most you could hope to need on a TV set as downloads will always be minimal unless suddenly we're storing downloaded digital copies of 4k movies on TV like they're computers or the like.

I don't see why they are whining about it. Cutting those sorts of corners keeps prices slightly better for them which cna only help our case as consumers.

I do not believe any streaming services even comes close to using 100Mbps. Maybe you have a use case for sending 1Gbps to your TV via ethernet. If so, what is that use case?

There are a few services that are nearly uncompressed, but unless they are hoping to get built-in advertisements faster, I don't know why any of these people would leave their display connected to the internet.
