this is weird, its like $400 bucks for a flat bed board. Can a mattress even fit in there? I know I once saw a tri-fold mattress, maybe it's that one.

yeah it's for those sort of mattresses, they are definitely taking some liberties with the whole "murphy bed" definition as *USUALLY* those are beds that just fold into a wall or cabinet (*without* compressing the mattress so you can use a normal mattress that has a decent amount of support for sleeping on.) these are at best used for children or young people that don't need any cushioning support. Or I suppose you could use this for the in-laws if you want to give them a not so subtle nudge that they should get a hotel room...
