If you are in the Ridgid environment and have charged batteries laying around- jump on one of these!!

Super helpful in all kinds of random situations.. keep lights on during a storm, run your router and wifi even. Take it camping to run string lights and charge stuff or run a small air pump to inflate mattresses. power a work from home computer set up, etc. I use mine sporadically multiple times a year, and I always have six fully charged batteries sitting there at the ready too which means I have portable sporadic AC power whenever or wherever I need it.

The last three times I've bought Ridgid tools has been on homedepot.com and I upload my receipt + I attach my online order #. It always initially accepts it but then it never goes through. I ALWAYS have to call TTI and tell them I already uploaded my receipt. They always ask me for a receipt and I tell them "No, I uploaded it and I don't need to do it again. Look on your end for it" So they do and about 5 minutes later they come back and say "Ok I changed your status to LSA approved" Then, I go and refresh the page on the registration toolkit and it is in fact changed.

What I'm wondering is, are they kinda doing this on purpose? It's a good 30 minutes out of my day each time I have to call and have them manually approve this. Just sorta feels like weaponized incompetence because if I wasn't on top of it, my 90 day timer would run out and I wouldn't have LSA at all.

I did have to use the warranty once for a battery that stopped taking a charge and it went very smoothly.

P.S. I bought this. Don't need it, but seems very handy, especially for backup situations until I get my solar generator.
I've purchased three different items (one bare tool and two different kits with battery and charger) recently. One of the kits went through with no issue, but I had to call to get them to apply the LSA to the other two. It is annoying to have to remember to check the status, but has been pretty simple to get them to fix it when I've had to call.

Happened to me a few times trying to register many tools and after 30-60 days still not approved. When I call they take 30 mins to answer and with email they ask for the order number and serial numbers again. Which eventually gets approved after a few days, but all that headache isn't necessary.

How would I go about determining if this charger would be able to power my modem/router, laptop, and external monitor in the event of a power outage?

Generally, each device would have watts specs in its label. On your devices are supported using this inverter. The length of duration depends on the size of your battery

I use mine to power a portable electric cooler. Couple years back, used it for my daughter's birthday at a place with no electricity.... Few hours into the summertime party, (80 plus degrees) we still had frozen ice cream and ice cold drinks. Much easier than dealing with melting ice.

And last year, I used it to power a prop for my daughter's dance solo... she had a neon sign and shimmering lights.

killed it for dance dad of the year.

I ran into registering issues a few times, and it came down to my email address being different between Homedepot and the Ridgid warranty site. After I changed them to the same, all my online registrations went through with no issues.
gotcha. I've had the same email for 20 years so I don't think that is it

Almost every time I register a tool, it shows up as 3 years. It used to be so simple to use the chat feature and it was resolved in minutes. I had to call the last couple times, and the call goes straight overseas and then you are locked in the language barrier. This last time I had toe email the receipt despite having already uploaded. When I would try to view my receipts, most of them were blurred out for some reason. Problem was resolved, but not until after I hung up. Previous calls were handled while I was on the call.

I originally was going with the rigid eco system because I thought I had a lifetime warranty not knowing you had to register it.. and then Ryobi started making new innovative items and having better deals and prices so I switched to Ryobi..

So this is like what $19 more than the rigid deal but you get a battery.. hmm.. oh and LSA.. maybe I'll just rock with both brands

I wish it were just the inverter for $25 to $30. I don't need another battery! Nor another charger! I probably don't really need this at all.
