I'm guessing these are aimed at adults? These are $4 a piece. When regular Hot Wheels cars a dollar a piece, or less in multipacks, at any store...

Yes, these are aimed at the collector or adults. These hot wheels are their premium line and are $6.50 each MSRP and go up in value on the scalpers market, based on the car or rarity.
This set has been this price for a month or so, good value if your into this or great gift for a collector.
The $1.25 hot wheels, known as mainlines have less detail, cheaper paint and plastic tires. The premiums have better details, paint, QC, and rubber tires or real riders.

This is the 2023 set. This series are considered Walmart exclusives in the US.

That said - if anyone orders this - make sure you check the cars. Walmart doesn't check returns carefully enough - so it's very common to have cars swapped out with non premiums.

Buyer beware.

Good catch edubbrulez. Thank you! The description said 2022 so I didn't even notice the box said 2023.

I would not see the appeal for collectors since they are not individually carded but for those who have a set already and want to open it this would be a legit double to open since they are pretty much loose cars
