Yeah, to prevent this, just order in the app in the parking lot and walk in to watch them make it, lol.
Pro move. That's what we do, and most of the workers know me by heart at this point lol. It avoids them carelessly missing any special notes or details like "extra" or "light" on the printed receipt.
Being able to observe and participate in your food being made is an under-appreciated feature of Subway, as long as you're friendly about it. If you try to do that at virtually any other restaurant (friendly, or not), you're risking getting extra sneeze with your food.
How can they double the price for one? If a veggie sub is $10 and it would be $10 if you did not have this deal, you are getting it for $5.
Before it was 5$ footlong then they up it to 6, then 7. Today I ordered a footlong sandwich and it was around 13$. Looks like it about double in price for me but then again I don't at subway much.

I love these bogo deals. There's a better family ran sub shop in my small town...but dang they're expensive! It's like $16+ for a footlong. Getting 2 footlongs for less than $6 each is always awesome!
Subway is my go-to for sandwiches because of these deals. Are there better sandwiches out there? Absolutely. But I wouldn't say they're 2-3X better to justify the price compared to Subway promotions. Plus, I always get the spicy italian with salami which is mostly going to be the same at most sandwich shops you go to. Additional plus for Subway is that you can order online and pick up the order very easily!

It used to be $0.49 a sub. Oh, to dream of the days when you would earn $1 an hour as federal minimum wage.

Unfortunately, the BS comes when the closest Subway restaurants to you say they won't accept app deals or paper coupons. :-(
"Select" locations. Stopped chasing Subway deals and holding on to any coupons they send years ago since many locations near me either don't honor the coupons or seem kind of irritated about accepting it if I don't buy anything else.
Needless to say we don't eat there at all because of this nonsense.
Well, this and how the meat got cut way, way back a few years ago. How this "chain" is still in business I will never understand.

Do it again a few days later if the promo is still active. Otherwise, wait til next BOGO offering. No need to pay any more in the interim.
