The AliExpress app is one example that I remember.
It doesn't matter to me whether it's a Samsung or Google product; I'm only telling you my experience with both devices. it's possible that Samsung has sinc fixed the problem. I don't know because I don't have a Z-fold anymore.
I purchased the ZF4 when it first came out and the hinge wore out twice. Both under warranty. Luckily it was fixed and after the 2nd repair I traded it in. After 4 generation of this phone and they can't figure it out. I hope the 5th and 6th model has improved but the 4th gen is a complete disaster.

Sent me a phone with poor quality aftermarket display. When I returned the phone they claimed the box I sent was empty. After I pushed back they said "oh sorry the box isn't empty. You sent us a different phone". Very shady tactics and I don't know why a larger eBay seller would try to pull petty scams. I had to go through eBay for a refund.
My youngest son still uses his Fold 3 but his screen was replaced (for free) after UbreakIfix botched his inner screen protector replacement. My older son and I used Fold 3 until just couple of months ago (full 3 years) and had no issues other than mine showing some signs of battery degradation. (We both traded it in for fold 6)
My wife's fold 3 developed an issue of hinge not fully opening after 2 years. it would open like 175degrees, not quite fully open, but this happened after she dropped her phone so I do not really fault Samsung. She traded it in for Fold 5.
Really, at least for Fold 3, we haven't had any issues in our household with inner folding screen. When my wife fell from her bike, the fold 5 was literally flung out (it was mounted on her bike) right on to the paved road and it still has no issues.
So, in my limited experiences (7x folding phones in the family so far), the fold screen isn't THAT much more prone to breaking than any other phones (if anything, IMHO hinge is the weak point) and the phones tend to have shorter duty cycle anyways - 3 years is what I give though I think it is going to get longer and longer just like the laptops.
