The part number on this is GLM165-27CGL, which has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Lowes has the GLM165-27CG (no rechargeable battery) for $189 with a Lowes Rewards member deal of $100 off, so $89: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-BL...5001791135

No idea how long that deal is good or how well these units work. Just saw this earlier today.

These are consistently rated at or near the top of laser measures. I've been eyeing this one for a while, but not willing to drop even $150. At $90, it was too hard to pass up. I got in on the Lowe's deal.

As far as I am concerned, the Lowe's deal is way better. I personally don't need a rechargeable battery. But for anyone that does, the battery (GBA37V10) is only $30 at full retail, so it's still just as good of a deal, and less upfront cost.

The outdoor 400' one was $150 a few days ago. Would it be worth it to wait for that again than go for the $90 one right now if I didn't need it immediately? Or are the use cases completely different?

It won't read in sunlight anyway. The laser will diffuse too much. unless you are going to be measuring 400' hallways then this is cheaper

Make sure you are logged in. You should see a banner right below the $189 price that says:

Member Deal: $100.00 Off
Offer is applied in cart.

If you don't see that, then it doesn't think you are a member. (If so, just create an account)

When I add 2 to cart, I see the expected price of $178. How did you get $138 for 2? That's only $69 each!

No lithium battery is a feature imo. Less shit I have to throw away when a battery stops working. Thanks for the recommendation
