Its an issue for sure. I think its bait to purchase more gift cards. I have $4 that i need to spend. I can't even get 6 inch sub because of tax($3.99+tax with coupon). So only to use that $4 is to spend on their expensive $2.50 drinks/chips or buy another giftcard to merge that $4.
They dont let you use giftcard + credit/debit.

It used to do this every time, but I just did it a few days ago. When you get to the checkout screen, and it's asking you to confirm payment (CC) hit the button that says "add/use gift card" from that screen, and it will pull up the loaded gift card l, and then select it. Then it will take you back to screen with remainder amount due showing to pay on card. This was in App. It worked for me

3 foot longs for $17.99 (in my area)
=about 16 footlongs for $60 instead of $100! Brings the cost to about $3.75 per sandwich before tax…

Which is insane, I think they're probably at a loss each sandwich this cheap.

I know a lot of people hate subway but for $4-6 a sub I never have any complaints. Bread, meat, cheese is decent enough… Obviously not local sandwich shop quality, but their sandwiches aren't $4 😂

Unfortunately it means that you have to actually HAVE another gift card, but at least this way you don't have little slacker gift cards left Smilie

If using the BOGO Footlong deal and paying with the 40% off gift cards you would get 70% off the regular price of your 2 footlongs. Therefore, two footlongs would be $7.20 instead of $24.

local sandwich shops near me charge $23, expect a tip, no app order (go in and wait another 30 min) and honestly half the time the subway tastes better, I order it on the app, go down in my building and pick it up within 8 minutes. At $4 a footlong I can't complain. Even the other shops like jimmy johns, firehouse, etc are all about 50-100% more expensive even when comparing by meat portions
