Biggest downside to me is you cannot use them wired at all, but I believe you can use them wireless while charging.

There are also some concerns about the soundstage, and you can't use both connections at the same time. Those may not be a concern for everyone, though.

I got the refurbished deal for the same price a while ago. I had issues with connectivity when I put the receiver on the back of my computer, but after moving it towards the front (ended up buying a passive hub) the problems went away.

For $80 I'm very happy. I notice no lag when gaming, sound quality is great after using Sound ID. You get a free Dolby license, but I don't really notice a difference, maybe due to the games I play.

Did u try Bluetooth feature with mobile gaming ? Any input on ipad or mobo gaming?

Do these still suffer from lack of input audio? My Void Pros (which are absolutely falling apart after many years of service) have had to use Peace and EPO equillizer for years and years to make sure I can bump up the DB level on the output via software.

I want to get off of Micro USB charging, but I also don't want to have the same quietness issues.

These are loud. I only listen at like 16 while playing games and 30 while listening to music. I don't blast my headphones though.

I run the HS80 Max daily and they're probably one of the better headsets I've used. Super convenient for WFH too. I use the Slipstream dongle on my gaming PC and then when I need them for a work meeting I just press a button and switch them over to Bluetooth where it's pair with my work laptop. Sounds good, mics good, and at $80 I'd get these again if I needed too.
