My understanding is this can be upgraded to 16gb RAM, correct? Trying to get my dad (in his 60s) a laptop but within a reasonable budget. Can someone confirm if this would be the ram to get? A bit confusing because it states 3200mhz but then states "or 2933mhz or 2666mhz"

I was only looking at Dell because I have $50 rewards I need to use by end of this week. And then I have a 10% off code plus I have 13% cashback with one of my Amex cards and then 10% cashback from a well known site.

Typically the machine will "downclock" faster ram automatically. Shouldn't be an issue. Most cost effective route is to match whatever is in the machine so you don't pay for performance you won't use when it's in dual channel mode.

To be honest, I don't know. Received an email one day saying I had $50 in rewards to use by X date. When I went into my account, long and behold, it was there. It shows as earned but doesn't say why so I know it wasn't from a previous order.

Dell never sent me the coupon code, despite I tried twice with different email accounts.

Looks like a good deal to me. And Acer from the comments above is a cert refurb. Don't even think of that over a new Dell.
About the 50$, if you created a new dell account during the promo period, you automatically get it.

Honestly, I'd put the money to a refurbished Latitude like the latitude 9410 touch off hte dell refurbished website.
VASTLY better in every way. Exceedly better for a little more money.

Poor reviews on this due to overheating issues.
